The first version of decision-maker enrichment looked for an exact role match and gave up when it did not find one. At companies that title their people unusually — which is most companies — that meant an empty result and a lead you could not use.

KDM enrichment now searches in three tiers, widening from an exact role match to related roles to any plausible senior contact at the company, and tells you which tier the answer came from. It returns four fields rather than one: name, title, and the identifiers needed to find their email next.

Fewer dead ends, and when the match is loose you can see that it was loose and decide whether to use it.
