Every deliverability check up to now has been an inference. DNS is correct, reputation looks clean, the spam score is low — therefore it should reach the inbox. "Should" is doing a lot of work in that sentence.
Placement testing answers it directly. Send a test copy of a campaign message from a chosen sending mailbox to another mailbox in your workspace, and Sellvance checks which folder it actually arrived in: Inbox, Spam, or another folder.
- Delivery can take hours, so probes are tracked in the background and the result appears when it lands — you do not sit and wait.
- Every probe is kept as a record, so you can see whether placement improved after a domain change, a warm-up period, or a copy rewrite. The history is the point.
- A probe that never arrives is reported as undelivered rather than left pending forever, and a send that fails records the error.
- Probe traffic is excluded from reply forwarding and never mistaken for a lead reply.
Run it before you launch, and after anything that could have changed your placement.
