A reply rate that counts out-of-office autoresponders is not a reply rate. It is an inbox-placement metric wearing a costume, and in August it will tell you your campaign is doing great.

Every inbound message is now classified by kind: a genuine human reply, an out-of-office auto-reply, a bounce, an unsubscribe request, or an automated acknowledgement. Classification uses the model's structured output rather than subject-line keyword matching, which mis-classified constantly.

Two things follow from it. Your reported reply rate counts humans. And the auto-reply rate becomes useful in its own right — it is one of the few signals that measures whether you are reaching inboxes at all, independently of whether anyone liked your offer.
